Tartar Sauce
This homemade tartar sauce has really upped the fish game at our house. It came about because I was always forgetting to pick some up at the store and it was hard to find a brand that we really liked. My kids love it and it’s really reduced the number of complaints I get when I tell them it’s fish night. It’s super simple and I typically have all of the ingredients on hand, so it’s easy to toss together.

Tartar Sauce
(makes 1 cup)
Ingredients:
½ cup mayonnaise (use this for egg free**)
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
3 Tablespoons dill pickle relish (like this)
1 Tablespoon dried dill
1 teaspoon garlic granules
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon sea salt
Directions:
Into a 2-cup liquid measuring cup or small bowl, add the mayonnaise and all remaining ingredients.
Whisk using a fork to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Serve immediately or store in an air tight container in the fridge until ready to use.
The tartar sauce will keep in the fridge for about a week.
Notes:
*if you’re egg free, here is a homemade option or this is a store-bought egg free version.
*other ingredients may need to be adjusted based on the egg free option you choose.
